Plaid Daddy Jim Dunlop started the "Plaid Daddy" project in the spring of 2000. During the formation of what is now known as the Plaid Daddy Band (with primary members, Michael Lewis, Tim Dvorkin, Greg Galindo, Max Koteen and Jim Dunlop) Jim was pursuing an original CD. With the help of many musicians along the way and the brainstorming of a new friend Christian Kaufmann of Switzerland who co-produced the CD with Jim and also engineered and mastered the entire project. (And over 500 shows around New England in the process playing everything from Prince to Puddle Of Mudd cover songs)...The recording of the debut Original Plaid Daddy CD is now complete and available at Newbury Comics locations throughout New England, and also by mail-order at www.CdBaby.com (by Mc/Visa/Amex/Discover). Pixy 103 Cape Cod`s #1 rock station named "Plaid Daddy" the artist of the month to coincide with the debut. Mix 98.5 of Boston joined Plaid Daddy for a major release party and hundreds of fans showed up to support the CD. Pixy 103 also held a separate release party in Cape Cod that same weekend. Jim was also one of the few white male singers to be asked to fly to New York and perform on the long running NBC TV show "Showtime at the Apollo" in Harlem.
