Pistol Whippin’ Ike’s music has the kind of power that drives people into moshing frenzy, yet they can be heard singing along with every word that is emitted from the stage.Pistol Whippin’ Ike formed in March 2000 . They played their first live performance on Oct. 28, 2000 at Halloween party at Loco Hill in Anna, TX. Before a crowd of 200, they blew peoples’ minds with their new sound until the cops came and said “enough”. Their next live performance, Dec 12, 2000 was an opening slot, at Graffiti’s in Dallas, TX. The show went so well, and the crowd response was so overwhelming that the owner offered them a headlining slot as they walked off stage. Within three more shows, Pistol Whippin’ Ike was invited to headline the March 2001 Harder Beat Magazine Showcase at the Galaxy Club in Deep Ellum, Dallas, TX. This event showcases some of Dallas’ most up and coming new bands, in which Pistol Whippin’ Ike enthralled a house full of music savvy people, and left them yearning for more.In a very short time, this band Pistol Whippin’ Ike has stood up and taken charge of the listener and it is being felt and noticed in the North Texas music scene.
