The Ryan Murphy Trio The Ryan Murphy Trio, a local jazz trio based in Dallas, Tx, began playing together in May 2001, with Ryan (piano) and Michael (drums) having jammed together for years before. While in high school, all three members of The Ryan Murphy Trio were responsible for starting the Richardson JJ Pearce jazz band, and have continued to play in college ensembles. Capable of playing everything from traditional jazz, to pop standards, to funk, to rock, the Ryan Murphy Trio has played a variety of venues including opening for the Dallas Symphony at the Dallas Parks’ Campbell Green “Family Fun Night” in May of 2001, a senior health care convention, the grand opening of Toll Brothers Lakes of Buckingham, and at nursing homes on Christmas and New Years Eves.
