The Ryan Murphy Trio The Ryan Murphy Trio: Ryan Murphy, piano; Jon Nesvadba, bass; Michael T. Jackson, drums. The Ryan Murphy Trio, a jazz trio based in southeast Texas, began playing together in May 2001, with Ryan (piano) and Michael (drums) having jammed together for years before. While in high school, Ryan and Michael were responsible for starting the Richardson JJ Pearce jazz band, and have continued to play in college ensembles. Capable of playing everything from traditional jazz, to pop standards, to funk, to rock, the Ryan Murphy Trio has played a variety of venues including opening for the Dallas Symphony at the Dallas Parks’ Campbell Green “Family Fun Night” in May of 2001, a senior health care convention, Jazz/Rock shows at the Corner Pocket in Huntsville, the grand opening of Toll Brothers Lakes of Buckingham, New Years and Christmas parties.
